Hi! I’m Richard Cunha and I can’t help but to be a comedian. I did my best to cram as many lives into one and I’ll tell you all about it on my live shows. 

I come from the Brazilian countryside where I learned what I truly love: making people feel good. I found out that saying the right words at the right time do just that. I didn’t know at the time, but comedy is pretty much the same, especially about the timing part.

I studied chemistry, did a PhD physics and my postdoc in Zurich. However, I only found true happiness in comedy. I quit science 3 years ago to pursue my dream of making people laugh. The Swiss immigration didn’t like that. But my Swiss friends did! With their love, support and kindness I’m allowed to stay now. Even better, the lovely people coming to my shows are helping me prove the immigration wrong.

Every day is a blessing and every show is a gem. I appreciate each and everyone of you, and can’t wait to make you laugh.
